Cycling is a popular sport in Rhodes and its
history goes back many years. A Velodrome has existed in Rhodes at the Diagoras
Municipal Stadium since 1930.
Today there are four cycling clubs in Rhodes, training athletes of all ages and promoting the sport.
Rhodes is an ideal place for cycling as
there are many routes, mainly inland and in the southern part of the island all
with a good quality asphalt surface and a variety of gradients.
